PLEASE NOTE:
For any Nowthen Building Permits applied for before March 1, 2024, please contact Rum River at #763.331.7722 to check the status or schedule inspections. You can also email requests to inspections@rumrivercc.com. Be sure to include the complete property address and inspection needed. Staff will reach back out to you to confirm. All permits applied for after March 1st will go into Baseline.
Online Permitting
Rum River Consultants is pleased to announce the introduction of online permitting services for the City of Nowthen through our platform, Baseline.
To access our user-friendly site, simply click the Baseline button below. Once selected, you will be brought to the permitting website where you can choose the option to "Apply for a Permit". A prompt will occur for you to create an account or sign in to the platform.
Once you have established a user account, conveniently track and manage all of your permits by selecting the "View Permits" option. *Please note, this will be for permits applied for and issued after March 1, 2024. Thank you!

Set Fee Permit Applications
The following permit applications have a set fee and will be processed when received, typically within one business day. This applies to residential permits only.
(Commercial permits require plan review.)

The following permit application requires plan review, in addition to the above permits if commercial in nature. Please submit all documentation required when applying for the permit to minimize review time.

Payments
Payments for building permits can be made in person at City Hall by
cash, check or credit card.
There is a 3% surcharge which applies to credit card payments.
