Remote Virtual Inspection (RVI)
Rum River Consultants now offers Remote Visual Inspections (RVI) for certain inspection types.
RVI is a convenient alternative for homeowners and contractors to traditional on-site visits.
What is a Remote Virtual Inspection (RVI)?
A Remote Virtual Inspection (RVI) is an inspection where the applicant submits a series of pictures to the building inspector instead of an onsite inspection. Specific photo requirements vary according to the type of inspection and are outlined in the instructions provided for each inspection type.
Remote Virtual Inspections meet the same code standards as onsite inspections, adding the benefit of faster results, and more convenience for the contractor and homeowners compared to traditional on-site visits
Residential permits requiring RVI are applied for through BASELINE. When you have all of your pictures, you will upload them into Baseline at the time you request a Remote Virtual Inspection
