What is SolarAPP+?

SolarAPP+ is a web-based platform that allows licensed contractors to quickly complete the code compliance review process for eligible residential roof-mounted photovoltaic designs for automated review through SolarAPP+ and submit an online application for an auto-issued permit.

How it Works

Submit through SolarAPP+: Contractors first complete the automated compliance review on the SolarAPP+ website.
Apply in Baseline: After receiving approval from SolarAPP+, contractors then log into Baseline and select the project type “SolarAPP+” to submit their permit application.
- Please note, the contractor will need their SolarAPP+ Project ID in order to proceed with the application in Baseline.
Permit Issuance: Within Baseline, contractors pay the required fees and immediately receive an issued solar permit.
Begin Work & Schedule Inspections: Once the permit is issued, contractors may begin installation work immediately and request the required inspections.

SolarAPP+ is designed to provide a code-compliance check for the majority of residential, roof-mounted, retrofit photovoltaic systems.

Commercial, ground-mounted, and other non-residential solar projects are not eligible for SolarAPP+.
All inspections must be requested and scheduled through Baseline after permit issuance.
